christmas 09

this was a really exciting christmas in the moody household because it was the first year mt really got into it. it was a toy story christmas for mt. from his toy story themed snuggie (didn’t even know they made them in that print - thanks memaw!) and pillow, to the action figures, mt was in 7th heaven. another big hit was his georgia bulldogs helmet. the biggest hit had to be his ukulele. he carries it around with him constantly, even when he plays with other toys it is tucked under his arm. we crack up listening to him play and sing.

the most precious angel

mikayla performed in her 2nd nutcracker this year. last year she was a snow flurry and was adorable. this year she was an angel. hour upon hour was spent preparing for her 2 minute performance on stage. she was amazing. she had the big responsibility of leading the angels out of their circle into a line. her smile lit up the whole stage.

giving thx

i have so much to be thankful for in my life. a savior full of grace and love. a husband who makes me feel beautiful both inside and out, even on days when i am clearly not my best. a daughter and son who love and trust me unconditionally. parents who are willing to sacrifice whatever it takes. in-laws who love me as if i were their own daughter. siblings who i can laugh/fight/cry with. a supportive church who is willing to take the next step. friends who i can count on. yes, i am very blessed.

my little prayer warrior

mt is now 26 months old. we have a regular routine at bedtime where michael and i sing the same made-up song to him. then we pray, kisses and hugs and then he is put in his bed. he has just now started praying himself where he will repeat after me. it is the cutest thing to hear him say all of our family members' names. i will admit that i do slip in certain words such as "spaghetti junction" or "imagination" or "q-tip" into the prayer just to hear him say them. but hey, we should be thankful for all things. i mean can you imagine atlanta traffic without spaghetti junction?!??!

the day i ruined mikayla’s life

the other day mikayla came up to me and told me i "ruined her life". i asked her how i did this and she told me it was because i turned off her bath water instead of letting her do it. she is def my drama queen. she is also very independent like me!

remembering

sometimes i feel like the worst mom. i have all of these really great ideas and good intentions of preserving my children's memories but then allow schedules, time, and basically just living life get in the way. so....i decided to try to keep an online blog. my intention is to put interesting and funny things my children do throughout the week on this. i will also post past memories that i do not want to forget.
